The Survivors Overcoming Abuse and Rape (SOAR) program is available for inmates and is conducted at the Nevada State Women’s Prison. This program is once a week for 12 weeks and helps inmates who have been victims of rape and sexual assault learn self esteem tools to help them once they are out of prison. SOAR was started in July of 2005 and is limited to 15 people each class. Below is the agenda:

Week 6: You are Survivors
Week 7: Uncovering Automatic Thoughts

Week 9: Stress inoculation for Anger Control/ Thought Stopping
Week 10: Testing Core Briefs
Week 11: Final Thoughts and Exercises
Week 12: Evaluation of Program/ Graduation
The Rape Crisis Center also offers a weekly program at the Las Vegas City jail. The program is open to anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault or abuse, rape or molestation.
